About Me

I am a graduate of the University of Michigan chemical engineering program this past May. I am currently serving in Burkina Faso as an education volunteer. I teach middle school math and science at the local school. Besides teaching, I wash laundry by hand, learn how to make the local dish “to,” sit under shea trees, and share meals with friends.

  1. Hey Kathryn,

I figured I try to send you a message! I was browsing the internet trying to research how to start a blog for my upcoming Peace Corps service.
Were in the same boat because I will be a Peace Corps volunteer in Burkina Faso leaving June 21, 2010.

Shoot me an email. It would be nice to chat with someone prior to our departure.

    Hope all is well

  3. Hi Kathryn,

You are making a wonderful decision to join the Peace Corps after you have just graduated from college like my son Mikey. He will be one of your Peace Corps Trainee Permanent (PCTP)in Burkina Faso this June 2010. Your parents most be very proud of you, too. Take care.
