Visas, Passports, and Essays, Oh My!

This past week I had just a few things to take care of for Peace Corps, including my visa application, PC passport, and write my essays.  The essays are my introduction to the Peace Corps in Burkina Faso, so those took a bit to polish up.

On a side note, it was a busy but awesome week.  (ASB shout-out!)

Invite Accepted

Not the most thrilling post, but I thought I’d put it in writing. I just officially accepted the invite to Burkina. Now, I just need to start trucking through the paperwork. There are essays, visas, passport applications, student loans, and travel stuff to settle out. It’s exciting to think it’s official, but there’s is still more waiting. Oh well. It’s not the hardest part, and definitely the most exciting of the application process thus far.

Now, I have more reading to do and learn about this place I’ll call home for the next few years.

Cheers.
